After years as a truck driving instructor, I realized the truth: 'Driving Academies' are often a 'numbers game'. They sell as many hours as possible and charge students massive premiums while paying the people actually doing the training as little as possible. Quality suffers, and you pay for it.
I quit the corporate school system to offer a better way for folks who already have the equipment they wish to drive legally. By working with me directly, you get 100% of my focus and experience without the heavy school owned equipment and administrative markups. I’m not here to sell you a "package"—I’m here to make sure you’re a safe, confident driver who passes their test the first time.
I've been instructing AZ/DZ and covering M.E.L.T. course material for the last couple of years at a local driving acedmy. We all discovered I had a natural talent to teach and connect with just about anyone from the beginning, and over the last two years I have mastered my craft of simplifying all things that seem complicated to a newbie. I am a very easy going, open mided, and patient instructor that enjoys connecting with folks on any level. I've seen it all and I judge no one for beginner mistakes.
I have been a licensed AZ driver for well over a decade with experience on just about every type of equipment on the road today. All this experience is actually useless when teaching someone how to pass a road test, however some of my 'memoirs' of the road make for some interesting conversations and add to our fun experience that I am aiming to achieve.
Personally, I enjoy all things mechanical, and have worked as a mechanic in my early days. I have lived a life on the water as a boater / sailor. I have a great interest in aviation, however I've already been denied my pilots license. I come from the North End of Hamilton, and will likely remain here.
I enjoy what I am doing, and regret not doing it sooner. I taught myself everything when I got my own AZ license, and I've never forgotten any of that process. I like to put myself back into your shoes as a beginner, and I put all my energy and effort into this because I truly want to see you as happy as I was when I was told 'Congratulations! You Have Met The MTO's Minimum Requirements. Head Inside and Get Your License'.
